The Ancient Kingdom of Seville
The Ancient Kingdom of Seville, one of the four traditional kingdoms of Andalusia, constituted for centuries one of the most significant political and territorial realities in southern Spain. Its territories extended across the present-day provinces of Huelva, Seville and Cádiz, the Antequera depression and even certain municipalities of the current province of Badajoz. At the heart of this heritage forged over centuries of history stood the city of Seville, seat of the Kingdom, from which a decisive influence was projected upon the political, cultural and spiritual life of the Iberian Peninsula and beyond.
Legacy and Purpose
Its royal foundations, sacred monuments, noble houses and historical institutions constitute a heritage that continues to demand care, respect and responsibility. From this legacy arises the purpose of the Corps, dedicated to its study, preservation and dignified transmission.
Tradition and Members
Rooted in the traditions of the Sevillian nobility, the Corps counts among its members descendants of lineages that served this land with honour, as well as other persons of accredited nobility connected to the territories that formed part of the Ancient Kingdom of Seville.
Values and Continuity
Beyond lineage, it seeks to promote and keep alive the values of service, loyalty and continuity that shaped its history, contributing to the preservation of culture, the protection of monuments and the safeguarding of historical memory for future generations.
